Cannabis use is associated with a more rapid onset of psychotic symptoms and greater severity in adolescents, especially in those with a heightened psychosis risk. Associations with mood and anxiety are less consistent, little work has been done in adults, and the degree to which sex influences these associations is not clear. To learn more, researchers analyzed two datasets of adolescents and adults; Canadian data were collected over 10 years at several time points (n=662; age range, 15–28), and U.S. data were collected at a single time point (n=30,999; age range, 18–65).
