Chemotherapy treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) has expanded to include later lines of therapy for patients with chemotherapy-refractory disease. Regorafenib, a multitargeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has been shown to improve progression-free and overall survival in patients with advanced disease (NEJM JW Oncol Hematol Feb 2013 and Lancet 2013; 381:303).
