Efficacy of Glecaprevir and Pibrentasvir in a Treatment-Experienced Population of HCV-Infected Patients

Glecaprevir plus pibrentasvir (G/P) is FDA-approved for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in treatment-naive and treatment-experienced patients. Specifically, among the treatment-experienced population, G/P was approved for those who failed an NS5A inhibitor regimen that did not contain a protease inhibitor. However, the approval was based on limited data.

An industry-funded, postapproval, phase IIIb study was performed to provide additional data in guiding the use of G/P in patients who previously failed an NS5A inhibitor regimen.
