This jointly developed new guideline provides recommendations for the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB; i.e., resistant to both isoniazid and rifampin) and of extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB; additionally resistant to a fluoroquinolone and a second-line injectable agent).
