Confirm normal levels of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) before using tafenoquine.
Tafenoquine should be taken with food.
Tafenoquine should not be used in persons with hypersensitivity to 8-aminoquinolines or with a history of psychiatric disorder.
Tafenoquine is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breast-feeding, unless the infant is known to have normal G6PD levels.
