Dear Readers,
Thank you for choosing NEJM Journal Watch Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine to keep you informed of the most relevant new evidence in child and adolescent healthcare this past year.
Many important topics arose in 2019, including the measles epidemic, acute flaccid myelitis, and the growth in both the frequency and danger of vaping. We first raised concern of a potential new fad of e-cigarettes in 2010. Sadly, our concerns were prophetic, as demonstrated in our many summaries of research documenting their use and ill effects.
We look forward to continuing to bring you the most important advances in pediatric and adolescent medicine in 2020.
