In the U.S., foreign-born women are less likely than native-born women to receive cervical cancer screening (CCS). A similar disparity exists in Norway, where all women (age range, 25–69) receive invitations and reminders for CCS, which is ordinarily performed by general practitioners (GPs). In a trial of an intervention to increase screening, researchers categorized all 73 general practices (233 GPs) within one urban area in Norway into 20 clusters matched in pairs and randomized them to intervention or usual care.
