No vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 is yet available. mRNA-1273 is an investigational SARS-CoV-2 vaccine that contains mRNA that expresses the prefusion-stabilized S glycoprotein of the virus and a lipid nanoparticle. Researchers evaluated the safety and immunogenicity of ascending doses of the vaccine in subjects with ascending age ranges in an open-label, phase 1 clinical trial. They have now presented the data on the young cohort (18-55 years of age).
