Healthcare personnel (HCP), especially those who work in emergency rooms, intensive care units, and other potentially high-exposure hospital settings are considered to be at very high risk for acquiring COVID-19. Previous studies of this risk have revealed conflicting evidence as to whether exposure has actually occurred in these hospital settings, or in the community.
