Previous studies in adults have associated problem gambling with traumatic brain injury (TBI), alcohol use disorder, and suicidality. To see whether the TBI–gambling association might be observed earlier in adolescence and how the risks for all these problems might relate to one another, investigators examined data from three cross-sectional waves of an Ontario, Canada, secondary-school database (2011–2015) involving 9198 students in grades 9 through 12 (52% girls).
