With this issue, the publication of NEJM Journal Watch Gastroenterology comes to an end. Since the year 2000, we have had leaders in the field of gastroenterology identify and summarize the research and guidelines of greatest importance and interest. Our Founding Editor, Dr. M. Brian Fennerty, brought together a group of contributors who established rigorous review and insightful commentary, putting new evidence into clinical perspective.
