Women seeking emergency contraceptive (EC) pills remain at high risk for undesired pregnancy without ongoing contraception. To evaluate the effect of community pharmacists providing a 3-month supply of oral contraception and a “rapid clinic access card” to women seeking EC pills, researchers conducted a cluster-randomized crossover trial that included 636 women served at any of 29 U.K. pharmacies between December 2017 and June 2019. Participants in the control group received only EC.
