Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is an established treatment option for relapsed and refractory diffuse large B-cell, mantle cell, and follicular lymphomas, and for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Now, investigators report outcomes of a phase 2 single-group, pharma-sponsored trial of the CAR T-cell product idecabtagene vicleucel (ide-cel), which targets the B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA). Eligible patients were adults with relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma who had received three or more prior regimens.
