Several cases of thrombosis in uncommon locations (e.g., cerebral venous sinuses, hepatic veins) associated with severe thrombocytopenia have been reported 5 to 24 days after receiving the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine (also known as Vaxzevria), predominantly in women younger than 50.
