Do patients who receive more low-value care rate their healthcare experiences more favorably? To answer this question, researchers used Medicare claims data (2007–2014) and data from healthcare experience reports from beneficiaries who responded to a 2010–2015 Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey. A random sample of these sources allowed the investigators to examine associations between receiving low-value services and patients' ratings of their healthcare experiences.
