Several vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 have received emergency approval. Now, two groups describe the effectiveness and safety of two vaccines (approved and widely used in the U.S.) and the efficacy of a third (in use in many other parts of the world).
In a postapproval prospective cohort study of the Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT162b2) and Moderna (mRNA-1273) vaccines, the 3975 participants from six U.S. states included demographically representative healthcare workers, first responders, and frontline workers with possible exposure to SARS-CoV-2.
