The increasing legal availability of cannabis has generated frequent questions from patients about cannabis use for medical indications. The lack of evidence-based guidelines often leaves clinicians without answers and results in patients seeking information elsewhere, particularly from cannabis dispensaries. In this study of a convenience sample of 434 employees of 351 U.S. dispensaries (mostly located in New York, Oregon, California, and Florida), researchers explored recommendations made by employees.
