Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infection (BSI) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality and has limited treatment options. Vancomycin has long been the management mainstay, but treatment failures are not uncommon, and isolates with reduced susceptibility are on the rise.
