COVID-19 has been associated with neurologic conditions including stroke, myelopathies, and Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS; NEJM JW Neurol Nov 18 2020). GBS has been associated with some vaccination programs (e.g., for influenza), but the risk is very small when weighed against the benefits of immunization; there have also been case reports of GBS following COVID-19 vaccination (NEJM JW Neurol Aug 23 2021). To further investigate the association between COVID-19 vaccination and GBS, investigators analyzed National Health Service (NHS) data on GBS cases in England and a separate dataset from hospitals across the U.K..
