Recent studies that have examined dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) following minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) have followed patients for 90 days. However, the observation was made with aspirin and clopidogrel (A+C) that 3 weeks of DAPT treatment may be optimal to balance prevention of ischemic events and avoidance of major bleeding. The optimal duration of aspirin plus ticagrelor (A+T) is uncertain.
