Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) has the potential to improve quality of life, decrease heart failure hospitalizations, and improve longevity in patients with dilated cardiomyopathies and conduction system disease. However, results of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are conflicting as to who benefits from CRT, largely due to small numbers of patients with right bundle branch block. To provide further data to inform this clinical decision, researchers conducted a patient-level meta-analysis from seven RCTs.
