Patients who are otherwise candidates for intravenous thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke typically do not receive the treatment unless and until blood pressure (BP) is 185/110 mm Hg or lower. However, the relationship between initial BP and outcomes following endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for stroke is unclear. These authors conducted a pooled individual-patient data analysis from seven randomized trials comparing EVT with usual care for stroke.
