Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) targeting the calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) have changed the paradigm of migraine management. The usual timepoint for efficacy assessment is at 3 months. Considering that some patients might respond later than 3 months to this medication, the authors sought to identify and characterize a population of late responders to anti-CGRP mAbs: those achieving ≥50% reduction of monthly migraine days after 12 weeks. The multicenter, prospective study included 771 patients with high-frequency episodic migraine or chronic migraine who received anti-CGRP mAbs for at least 24 weeks. Patients on onabotulinumtoxinA during the previous 3 months were excluded.
