Chronic inflammation seen in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may be accompanied by an increased risk for Parkinson disease (PD), but previous evidence on the association has been conflicting. This retrospective cohort study included 328,080 individuals (75% female) from the Korean National Health Insurance Service database, a national health screening program with data comprising anthropometric measurements, self-administered questionnaires on health behavior, and laboratory tests.
