Recommendations
The USPSTF addressed screening for major depressive disorder (MDD) specifically (as opposed to subsyndromal depression, minor depression, and dysthymia), suicide risk, and all anxiety disorders (i.e., generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and phobias), and drew the following conclusions:
