Because endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for large-vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke requires specialized infrastructure and personnel that are not available at all centers, accurate identification of LVO stroke in the prehospital setting could be useful. Prehospital electroencephalography (EEG) is a potential triage tool for this purpose, but data on the feasibility and accuracy of this approach have been limited.
