For patients with idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), a substantial amount of evidence demonstrates a correlation between body weight and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure. Weight loss reduces CSF pressure and improves the clinical course of IIH. Although several clinical approaches exist to reduce body weight, it is unclear which of these interventions is most effective in achieving a significant and sustainable improvements in IIH symptoms.
