In the randomized TRILUMINATE Pivotal trial, tricuspid transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (T-TEER) with an investigational device did not reduce death or heart failure hospitalization at 1 year compared with medical therapy alone in patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation; however, patient-reported health status was improved (NEJM JW Cardiol Mar 6 2023 and N Engl J Med 2023; 388:1833). This prespecified analysis of trial results further examined the timing and magnitude of health status benefits.
