Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is a well-known risk factor for intracerebral hemorrhage and sulcal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Whether CAA is related to subdural hemorrhage (SDH) is not clear. In this analysis, researchers analyzed two large, community-based prospective research studies: the UK Biobank study (2006–2022) and the All of Us research project in the U.S. (2018–2022). They identified patients with an administrative diagnosis code for CAA and assessed the rate of SDH in these patients, after adjustment for key clinical variables.
