More Findings from a Large Testosterone Treatment Trial

The randomized, placebo-controlled TRAVERSE trial was conducted to examine the cardiovascular (CV) safety of testosterone therapy in 5200 men with known CV disease or CV risk factors, testosterone levels between 100 and 300 ng/dL, and symptoms that might result from hypogonadism (NEJM JW Gen Med Jul 15 2023 and N Engl J Med 2023; 389:107). The researchers took advantage of this study's size and duration to examine other potential benefits and harms of testosterone treatment. Here we summarize findings on sexual function and mood.
