In patients with dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), alpha-synuclein (α-syn) seeding activity in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) may be seen. In this multicenter cohort study, researchers investigated whether α-syn CSF levels differed between those with DLB (n=191; 5 with mild cognitive impairment) and two neurologically healthy control groups (about 50 patients/group), one age-matched and one younger. The investigators also looked for any associations between CSF α-syn positivity and clinical features of DLB based on standardized assessments.
