The FINEARTS-HF trial demonstrated that mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) effectively treat heart failure (HF) with preserved or mildly reduced ejection fraction (EF; NEJM JW Cardiol Sep 4 2024 and N Engl J Med 2024; 391:1475). However, concerns remain as to whether MRAs work similarly well in men and women, and whether increased serum potassium levels potentially limit their use. Secondary analyses address these issues.
