Background: The IDSA last issued guidelines for managing histoplasmosis in 2007. Since then, more than 30 papers have been published on the topic, with many centered on immunocompromised patients. Now, the IDSA has offered a partial guideline update focused on asymptomatic pulmonary nodules and mild-to-moderate histoplasmosis in immunocompetent and immunosuppressed adults and children.
