An update on metabolic complications and the role of specific antiretroviral drugs and untreated HIV infection
Our understanding of the metabolic complications of specific antiretroviral medications and untreated HIV infection is improving, as was evidenced at the 9th International Workshop on Adverse Drug Reactions and Lipodystrophy in HIV. The workshop, which was held in Sydney just before the International AIDS Society conference in July 2007, featured a multitude of presentations and posters on the pathogenesis and treatment of metabolic complications.
