Cefixime tablets (Suprax; 400 mg) are now available in the U.S. for the first time since 2002. Cefixime is the only CDC-recommended oral treatment for uncomplicated urogenital and rectal gonorrhea. The other recommended option is an injection of ceftriaxone (Rocephin).
