Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) causes substantial symptoms and often confers a dire prognosis despite advances in medical therapy. Sotatercept, an activin-signaling inhibitor, has emerged as an effective therapy for patients with PAH based on trials in those with long-standing disease. In a new, industry-funded trial, researchers studied the efficacy of sotatercept in patients earlier in the course of their illness.
