Disseminated coccidioidomycosis (DCM) is an uncommon but devastating manifestation of coccidioidal infection (Valley Fever) associated with substantial morbidity; it always requires prolonged antifungal therapy. Intravenous amphotericin B and azole antifungals have been the principal treatment options, but they are associated with toxicity and drug–drug interactions, and recurrences of DCM are common once these drugs are stopped.
