Headache recurrence after emergency department (ED) treatment is common, yet development of anticipatory treatment plans at the time of discharge is highly variable. In a prospective, randomized, double-blind study, researchers compared the efficacy of oral naproxen (500 mg) and oral sumatriptan (100 mg) for postdischarge treatment of patients with recurrent headache.
