After the onset of ST-segment-elevation MI symptoms, any delay in getting the patient to the hospital has important implications for the success of acute reperfusion therapy. Although several studies have identified single factors associated with increased time to presentation, the interactions among these patient factors and how they relate to such delays have not been examined.
