EUROASPIRE I, II, and III (1995–1996, 1999–2000, and 2006–2007) were cross-sectional surveys undertaken to gauge how cardiovascular prevention guidelines are followed in clinical practice. Findings from the first two surveys showed high rates of modifiable cardiovascular risk factors in patients with coronary heart disease (JW Cardiol Jun 1 2001). These investigators compare data from selected geographical areas and hospitals in eight European countries that participated in all three surveys.
