Two manufacturer-sponsored randomized trials are currently underway to evaluate whether a third-generation, biodegradable-polymer biolimus-eluting stent (Nobori) reduces the risk for late stent thrombosis associated with first- and second-generation durable-polymer drug-eluting stents. Both teams have now reported their short-term findings.
