The standard treatment for stage I and II breast cancer is breast-conserving therapy with adjuvant radiation. A well-known side effect of this therapy is later development of vascular proliferations in the radiation field, which can be classified as atypical vascular lesions (AVLs) or angiosarcomas (ASs).
