Antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA)–associated vasculitides frequently have cutaneous manifestations but are usually managed by rheumatologists, pulmonologists, or nephrologists. These disorders affect the small- to medium-sized vessels and include Wegener granulomatosis, Churg-Strauss syndrome, and microscopic polyangiitis. Treatment usually involves moderate- or high-dose corticosteroids, along with immunosuppressive drugs that might act as steroid-sparing agents. In addition, single or combined antibiotics are reportedly useful in managing the disease and in preventing relapse.
