Psoriasis is associated with increased prevalence of myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular disease, and peripheral atherosclerotic disease. Now, investigators performed a nested case-control study1 to examine the incidence of arterial events, including acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and cerebrovascular accident (CVA), in patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and polymyositis.
