As the incoming, third Editor-in-Chief of Journal Watch Dermatology, I feel incredibly privileged to follow in the footsteps of Lowell Goldsmith. The overused expression about standing on the shoulders of giants applies in this case, because there is no doubt that this editorship has been previously filled by huge visionaries who have illuminated the field of dermatology.
