Although eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is one of the hottest topics in esophageal disease, most studies have been focused on increasing recognition of this disease. The treatment recommendations range from dietary exclusion (Journal Watch Gastroenterology Jan 5 2007) to pharmacologic agents, but prospective randomized trial data to compare therapeutic options have been lacking.
