Diagnoses of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) are currently based on diagnostic criteria from the International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group (IAHG), but these criteria are complex, insufficiently validated, and intended mainly for scientific research. In this study, the IAHG devised an AIH scoring system that can be easily applied in daily clinical practice.
Researchers retrospectively studied a cohort comprising AIH patients and controls from 11 international centers.
