Gastroenterologists have long debated the optimal methods for diagnosing and managing gastroesophageal reflux disease. Now, the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) has released a position statement on the topic, addressing 12 pertinent questions and weighting their recommendations based on the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) grading system.
