Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) typically requires treatment with endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), often repeatedly. Multiple procedures might lead to an accumulated risk for post-ERCP complications, but whether patients with PSC are at increased risk during an individual procedure is not clear. Moreover, the predictors of post-ERCP complications are not well defined in this group.
