Patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) complain of fatigue and, often, poor-quality sleep. However, studies have not shown a consistent association between CFS and either sleep apnea or excessive sleepiness. In this study, researchers examined the association between CFS and less-frequently used measures of disordered sleep, such as rate of cyclic alternating patterns (CAP) and quantitative EEG (qEEG).
